It is from chickpea that besan comes about, and it is rich with nutrients and fiber. The besan flour or gram flour is one of the most beneficial, on the grounds that it is produced using beats stacked with proteins and a considerable measure of other imperative supplements.

Ingredients:

  • 1/8 teaspoon Haldi (Turmeric powder)

  • 1 small Chopped green Chillies (optional)

  • 2 tablespoon Besan (Chickpea flour/ Gram flour)

  • 1 tablesppon wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped cilantro leaves or Kastoori methi (optional)

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 teaspoon Oil 

Method:

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients (wheat Flour, chill powder, Haldi, chillies, besan, methi, salt).

  2. Form a soft dough.

  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll it in small ball.

  4. Roll it in dry wheat flour

  5. Using a rolling pin, roll the ball..

  6. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the paratha, using a little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides

  7. Serve with yogurt/Achaar (Pickle).
